Acquisition expands Salvo’s manufacturing and distribution capabilities
On 9 November 2021, FPC member Salvo Technologies announced the acquisition of Graflex Incorporated (Jupiter, Fl), a designer and manufacturer of precision optical, electronic and mechanical devices to serve specialized commercial and government market requirements. The move further enhances Salvo Technologies’ in-house capabilities to produce and deliver its complete solutions to customers around the world. As part of the acquisition, Graflex president Paul Ganther will retain his title and management responsibilities over Graflex.
“This acquisition continues Salvo Technologies’ strategy of vertical integration,” said Phil Buchsbaum, VP of business development at Salvo Technologies. “While upgrading our manufacturing capabilities, the addition of Graflex also upgrades our global distribution footprint for our new and existing products. Graflex has been a Salvo customer for years, and I have personally known Paul and his team for over two decades. The time was right to finally merge the organizations.”
“Graflex has been a leader in ruggedized optical solutions for almost 30 years,” said Paul Ganther, president of Graflex. “Our customers include U.S. security and defense customers, as well as foreign militaries worldwide. We have had a tremendous amount of growth over the past few years and joining the Salvo group of companies helps us maintain this trajectory. In addition, there are quite a few opportunities to offer both Salvo and Graflex customers access to new products. It is a very exciting time for us.”
